It took me this long to actually give a painting this name, “Covid Painting”. Not just Covid but “Covid Painting”. It’s my second time having Covid and gosh darn I am tired of this. Aren’t we all tired of this pandemic?

A year ago this month I had Covid. A year ago a tough several weeks. A year ago and here I am again. This time around feels like the same flu I get every few years after a busy holiday season. When you spend two weeks with late nights with the kids, holiday, sweets and good cheer I get worn down. And when everyone is back in school or go home my body says, now you can be sick. That flu is now called, “Covid”.

The last five days the Covid strikes again. Fatigue, aches, headache, and painting. I have watched to many mini-series on Netflix. I have been in the same bed for most of the day. Then today, wander into the outdoor art room here in Palm Desert, CA. Dusty and needing cleaning for the new season. Who cares about the dirt that has blown in? Who cares about the dust covering every surface. I just put an outdoor table cloth over it all and away I go.

At first I was not sure how I felt about this piece. It seems a bit dramatic and dark. The more I looked at it the more I love it. Thus it has made my blog. I hope you can zoom in to see the details and colors. Pieces like this do not happen over night. This was a three day process and at one point I was going to scrap it. Every piece I paint tells a story of the day, that moment and the thoughts around each color and brush stroke.
Following are pieces that I would suggest in both size and design. Use the contact form at the end if you have questions and would like to order. Not all pieces are on my sale page as everyone has specific spaces, places and sizes.
