“Leftover Rainbow” #ArtYouLove by Elizabeth Traub. (That’s me.)

It’s a Saturday. I missed a ladies breakfast at church. When I loaned my SUV out to my boys to attend the air show I was not thinking what I had on my schedule.

I actually thought they had asked to borrow it for 2 days. Coming in late last night from a dinner it never dawned on me to call them and ask to take it back. After all they had made plans with their own friends to fill the vehicle. Oh well these things happen. Only to learn after the breakfast was over that the car was only needed for one day so here I am at home on a Saturday thinking what next to fill my time and space.

I had some leftover paints from an art camp. I keep thinking that I need to either host another art camp, teach art lessons or simply sit here and play around with all the colors. I pulled out all of the colors of the rainbow red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and thought, “What could I do with these?”

Once I started I couldn’t stop. Apply one color of the rainbow. Wait an hour to dry. Apply another #rainbow color and dry. #Red #Orange #Yellow #Green #Blue #Purple All the the colors of #GodsRainbow.

I learned a song in Sunday about all the colors of the rainbow. When I was a teenager in the late seventies my bedroom linens were all rainbow colored. I have always loved color. I love how this piece turned out. If I still had that teenage room decorated In rainbows I would have added this to my wall.

“Leftover Rainbow” seems appropriately named. This piece will be vibrant and stunning as a Gallery Wrapped Canvas Print. I tried to include images in various room setting. Three cheers for color, for rainbows, and finishing a a pice in less than seven hours. I believe that is a record for me.
