“Abstract Bloom” Art You Love by Elizabeth Traub.
I have been battling a desert flower garden. Water, sun and bunnies are against me. Luckily the local garden center has a return policy which allows you to bring back the plants that did not make it. Which is baffling to me. There are several of the same plants that I purchased and put in the ground. Same soil, same amount of water daily and all is not equal in what appears to be an equal garden. I am told that is why there is a return policy.
My first day I took pictures of my garden and went to the plant store. I showed the plants blooming, surviving and growing. Then I showed the plants that were not taking to their new environment. I went to the garden center to ask for assistance. Instead she said, “If you have your receipt, pull them out of the ground and we can give you a credit.” Wow!!!
I returned many plants the next day and was able to get new plants. Needless to day there were a few back and forth trips and I have yet to return 3 pots with dried up daisies. How can you NOT grown daisies? They are like a beautiful weed flower that doubles and grows through the season. But they are dried up.
I was looking at the delicate paintings of artists who paint botanicals, trees, and individual delicate flowers. I felt like tossing the paint brushes because much like my garden there were many attempts and many painted blooms that were NOT pleasing to the eye. I painted this piece, It was actually my last try. I loved it. I mean I stared at this piece and told myself that I did not have to paint perfect budding rose bushes. Isn’t that what abstract painting is all about?
I had purchased these paper thin metallic and gold pieces. I had no purpose or plan as to what I would do with them. I sprinkled them on top of the wet paint and oh my did this just make this bloom even more perfect. I what I LOVE about abstract painting is you can create the most beautiful visual pieces. Thus the name, “Abstract Bloom”.

This piece is available in various sizes. Please note that the digital picture is as close to the colors as the original. There will always be a slight variation.
Each print is a beautiful Gallery Wrapped Canvas with attached sawtooth hook ready to hang. I have a number of frame options which we can discuss at time of order.
