A Yen for Chocolate

Portland Fashion and Style Awards 2013 was dazzling and sparkling with high fashion and sophisticated chocolates.    Typically at events like this you have the tables lined with an assortment of desserts.  Tonight it was more than just desserts, it was  “A Yen for Chocolate“. I am the kind of gal that when I find something being done right,  the designer in me has to start asking questions and taking pictures. I wanted to hear the story and share with my readers.    We all have a voice and audience.  As far as I know, I had not yet met anyone in my circle who was ranting about “Salted Caramel w/Brandy & Cardamom” chocolate favors.

Nothing excites me more than to get a designer and creator talking about their business passions. Cristina Yen is beautiful and engaging as she directs me to her chocolates. Beautifully displayed and samples a plenty you can not help but pick up a business card, and another chocolate.

Cristina Yen’s “passion is creating perfect chocolate experiences for others.”  She  is hand making each chocolate for  special occasions.  “We believe that choosing the right chocolate favor for your special occasion should be a personal and fun process, and our service is entirely customized for you.”  There are so many original favors to choose from.  I think a sampling will be my start. Check out the unique fillings of each handmade piece of chocolate. CHOCOLATE FAVORS

I would love if you wander over and connect with “A Yen for Chocolate” on Facebook. Supporting this Portland based business one sweet and delicious piece of chocolate at a time. I am certainly going to be considering this chocolate company for my next event, special occasion or personal addition to my chocolate addiction.

Thank you Cristina for allowing me to snap photo’s and rant about you here. I loved each mouth watering piece. Okay I confess, I may have hung around just long enough to eat a total of four pieces.  Thank for your passions, ones that I share.
