Advertising Avenue

What the internet has taught  us, is what advertisers have known for decades, and spent millions doing.  Find every avenue to place your product where it will be seen by your target markets.  REPEAT . Find every avenue to place your product will it will be seen by your target markets.REPEAT. Find every avenue to place your product where it will be seenby your target markets. REPEAT. Find every avenue to place your product will it will be seen by your target markets.

Of course you get the picture.  It use to be that only the best and richest advertisers were on the front lines, front pages, front rows, and best avenues  in every  market that would grow their profits.  It took some serious cash for placement and position.  Now,  every day people, who have dialed into the marvel of  the internet, networks, avenues and resources can  put out their information to be known in split second timing. One message can be sent to a multitude of sights with and without your control with just one click.  Your own  pages become worthy, to be put onto the  pages of others if they deem interest and you did not pay one dime to get yourself in front of a new reader and interest.

I have bookmark tabs for people I may never meet, but I read about their companies, their products, their stories,  their blogs etc.  We all do this and have hundreds of our favorite hook ups to follow and watch.

Most of my life did not include sitting in front a computer and finding my way. I am on the edge  of being one of the last of the Baby Boomers.  We  started breathing into these screens long after our education curve was completed, and yet today I type from a basic sight costing under $30.00. With one click this very post gets in front of those who follow my twitter, or read my facebook, my blog and website. Only these few avenues and yet my tracker tells me that I have an average of 1,100 land on these pages a month. Last month only 957.  It may be the same people but it is a concentration I can expedite better than when I owned retail store.  and better than most of the biggest advertisers could do 20 years ago. Now just click and there it is.  Being put into the Avenues of those who will want the product or service.

One click and REPEAT on the corners and avenues I choose to land on.  I had a client a little perplexed that I would hand over a paper file containing the first copy of her proposal for a larger company.  She had her red pen, her editing skills and codes and started marking up the changes. She asked if we want to just send the final edits via email.  Of course that makes sense and the final will be produced by today’s technology standards.  For me, Elizabeth  Traub, I still embrace the Avenues of the past.  Sitting on the corner and watching real people walking by. Moving forward, our younger generation has not walked down those streets.  Making a turn, let’s say here.  Knocking on a door and meeting a client face to face. I still like sitting in a cozy chair with my papers and rereading and editing a project with a red pen before I make the overall changes on the computer. A walk down the street inspires me. Sitting shoulder to shoulder with a client teaches me more about a client as our conversation goes down little rabbit trails.

I will and have embraced these new Advertising Avenues.  I am also wearing out my good pair of shoes in the process. I like walking into a familiar city. Looking up at the street sign, and smiling. Nothing has changed about this city street.  This is my favorite Avenue to rest on.  What are some of your favorite Advertising Avenues.
