“Katrina”

We were going on a road trip to Seattle. She is my daughter’s friend. Her name is, “Katrina”. We had about an hour before we had to go and pick up my son at work before heading out. I had been working out this piece all day. Wanted to mix up some new colors. With the colors mixed, and Katrina watching I put this piece together. I told her, “I am naming this Katrina”. It’s not often I have someone looking in as I am trying to create new pieces. Long before paints hit the canvas I am thinking through the colors, the design, and a specific look I am trying to create. Stay tuned more paintings coming in these colors.
